Incarcerated Members of Pussy Riot Declare Hunger Strike

It’s now being reported that, following their questioning on Monday, two of the Pussy Riot collective currently in custody and mothers of small children, declared that they were going on hunger strike.

Political groups announce patrols to keep Pussy Riot out of Moscow’s Christian Orthodox Churches

In the wake of Pussy Riot’s protest performance inside Christ the Savior Cathedral, city police have opened up case against the band on charges of hooliganism, which carries the penalty of up to seven years in prison.

Thrice Announces Farewell Tour Dates

After 13 years together, Thrice has decided to call it quits. Well, officially it’s an indefinite hiatus, but these things have the tendency to last indefinitely, so it may be best to assume that’s that, and then you won’t be disappointed down the road. But, before it’s over, they’re going to do it up right with a farewell tour.

Their final tour licks of in San Diego on May 4, traveling throughout the country before finishing up back home for the band with two nights at Anaheim’s House of Blues and their very last show at LA’s Club Nokia.

Along the way, the band will be recording at select dates for a live album of the tour, expected to release sometime in late 2012.
